paul "slap-on-gloves-then-octopus-grab" williams would've won if this were the amateurs...Margo has been on the shelf for too long... this obviously wasnt the Margo who Killed Cintron...BUT i think Cintron would DESTROY williams...no floyd, no cotto, Cintron alone can beat this freak

Both guys were on the shelf for awhile. Did you lose some money on the fight or somethin?

I mean his last fight was December 12th, 2006 and poor Paul Williams last fight was November 11th, 2006....That must be it! Do you fucking think before you type? Or does Margo have to fight every 3 months to be "fresh"....He had a common layoff and had been in the ring more recently than Williams.....Paul was also on the longest inactivity period of his career, Margarito had longer layoffs against Clottey and Gomez, he previous two fights.....Keep digging though |

I think Williams has a little power and can stop lower levels fighters. But he's not going to be KOing any of the elite guys at 147. I don't think he will be able to keep the most relentless of attackers (ie a guy like Cotto) off him that long. Margo was hurting him to the body, and I think that's where a fighter can really wreak havoc on Williams.

Yep, hundreds of Williams' punches were blocked............still hundreds landed. The bottom line is, Williams landed more punches then Margo and clearly won more rounds. Margo was never as good as many portrayed him to be. He is a solid contender though.....
Lets see Margo vs Clottey 2 and Cotto/williams or Cotto/shane |

One punch that Margarito defended very well in the latter part of the fight was the left uppercut. I thought early on that Williams was going to break him down with that left uppercut. To Margo's credit, he skillfully blocked the left uppercut from the 4th round on.
