Default Harry Greb vs Hasim Ramhan

Could Harry Greb have outpointed Hasim Ramhan the night he drew against James Toney?

If he was on the same stuff Toney was... yeah.

If he played by the rules, I see Rahman just being too strong

Let's debate more realistic matchups:

Hasim Ramhan vs. a chocolate cake. Who wins it?

Rahman by eatdown, 0:30, R1.

I am not sure how important Ramhan's strength would be.

Nobody seems to have been able to get hold of Greb or even hit him cleanly to the head for the most part.

Greb weighed what 175 tops? He is not going to match up well with a 238lber who has the power in his right hand to badly hurt Greb.

Greb is tougher and far greater than Rahman, but he is not going to win a fight with near prime Rahman.

Greb seemed to do better against larger fighters who did not have the speed to gag him cleanly.

Ramhan would give him some problems due to high workrate. Against sombody like Briggs Greb would win every single round.

Let's see. We're matching Hammerhead Rahman against the guy who took ten seconds to butt Gene Tunney into a bloody mess? Next question!

Rahman has a very suspect chin, I think Greb takes advantage of that and stops him late.

I love grebs record to,but ramhan did KO lewis,so if he catches greb id say he would knock him out,but of course he may not catch him.

Yes, in my opinion. I think Rahman would lose the first few rounds trying to figure out "what the f*ck?" and the rest of the fight trying to get the KO.

Shut out not impossible. Rahman needs knockdowns to win rounds.

You think a big, powderpuff hitting MW can stop a bigish HW?

Greb's stoppage rate is low.

Greb would chew into him like a pirannah.
Just like kickin the shit out of a heavy bag.
Greb by KO -- easily.

I am still amazed by people trying to analyze a fight, that envolves a fighter they have rarely seen. How do you know Greb was never hit clean? How do you know Rahman's one two isn't two much? How do you know Greb isn't too fast for Rahman? You don't. You have no footage to justify your answers.

You can only compare records when it comes to Greb. That is all.

You can say Tunney could jab and move, so he could deal with jab and movers. You just can't tell me how he dealt with them. The same goes for any other style he faced. He may have defeated them, but you can't observe how.

Greb can be argued as one of boxing's best ever, but not effectively in head to head matches.
