Default Close but clear

Close but clear decisions. What do you think are some good examples.

Just watched Virgil Hill vs. Lou Del Valle, and this phrase clubbed me in the head.

It was crystal clear to Hill. I can't see it being scored any other way, 114-113. Hill won seven rounds obviously. Del Valle dominated the first two rounds, dropping Hill, and mounted a strong charge in 10-12.

I totally agree with this. Hearns picked up one more 10-8 than Leonard, and that ABSOLUTELY should have been the difference.

Duran-Leonard?

Vitali-Lewis was also close and clear. (It was the decision of the ref to stop the fight)

When the right fighter won?

Holmes/Norton is about as close with a clear winner as you can get.
Mosley/Cotto
Mosley/Delahoya 1
Castillo/Casamayor
Morales/Pacquiao 1
Lewis/Mercer

......
,............
....

Leonard-Hagler.

Well, I too think Leonard-Hagler was a clear 7-5, but we've probably all settled that it's one of the closest fights of all time.

I agree with Leonard-Hagler. Very close, but I've never scored it to Marvin.

I had Casamayor just squeaking by Castillo though. Might watch that one again sometime soon.

All Leonard did in the fight was showboat for the judges. None of this man's punches hurt Hagler, at all.

I had Leonard-Hagler a draw, personally. Often perpetrated that Leonard did nothing to hurt Hagler, which is obviously bullshit.
