If the 2 were matched up at there best who would you have picked to come out on top?

Harrison would take it by late stoppage or a close UD IMO.
In his day Harrison was relentless and could (and did) walk through some fearsome punishment.
Hope Gomez doesn't get too bashed up by Khan....

I think Harrison would've beat him silly and stopped him. Harrison was troubled by slick boxers, not a guy like Gomez who comes to give it. The only such fighter I think could last doing that with Harrison was Chi who was also little beast. I think Harrison could even have troubled the likes of Morales if they chose to go toe to toe.

He can trounce a smaller man, Brodie, but Gomez is a weight above Harrison.

At his best Gomez did stop Kirakosyan and Arthur - two excellent wins that suggest at his best he could be trouble for Harrison.

Gomez is a good lad but to beat him you get him on the back foot. Harrison would have had the strength to do this IMO. It would have being a gr8 fight though.

great fight and i really if both were at there absolute best im picking gomez. Both had off days but i dont like betting against gomez when he is in the zone.

Gomez would have been beaten black and blue at his own game.

Harrison was a world class fighter in his prime, most certainly a top 5 featherweight in the world. I never liked him because of all the baggage outside of the ring (I felt he gave Scotland and Glasgow in particular a bad name) but its pure folly to suggest that Gomez would have much of a shot against a prime Scott Harrison.

Would have been a good scrap while it lasted but as Beatboxer says, Harrison was in or around the top 5 in the world whereas Gomez was never even near that level.

Harrison was also a monster at the weight so the difference would have been negligable.

Harrison for me easily. Was absolutly top class when he was fighting, and exciting to watch. I'd say Harrison would knock him out in about seven after some servere punishment. Much like Johannson done to him.

Harrison would have battered him and without any real trouble. Harrison was world level, Gomez was Euro level at best and had none of the attributes that troubled Harrison.

Harrison by KO. Gomez would have given a good account of himself but I can not see him winning this one.

Harrison fairly comfortably. Scott just walked through fighters attacks like there was no tomorow and Gomez is custom made for him.

Scott was also a very good boxer in his early career eg. his win over Tracy Harris Paterson at Maddison Square Garden in only his 10th fight was a cracking performance and the way he beat Chacon for the title was a good nights work too. Scott fought a few good fighters and beat them against the odds, there was always a large percentage of fans who thought he'd get beat each time and he just kept winning.

The draw with Polo was a fair result, he pretty much won all the 1st 6 rnds and lost the 2nd 6 or thereabouts but considering he was blind in 1 eye from about the 3rd round that was a good nights work. A rematch would have seen Polo destroyed imo (JMM fought Polo soon after and although the cards suggest JMM won by a landslide he still got a tough night from Victor)
