Seriously though, Fields needs to step up. I know he never touched gloves until he was 24, but he needs to take his lumps against better fighters if he's ever going to improve at this point. |

Fields was KO'd by Jeff Ford when he was a promising tomato can with a 2-0 record. Ford is currently 4-8.
Boswell was KO'd by Jameel McCline. McCline is pretty much garbage, but at least he's big league garbage. Still Fields has a 6" reach advantage, and Boswell will be 38 when they fight, so I'll take Fields by a boring decision. |

Boswell was well ahead on the cards before being stopped late by Mccline, I think it was the last round. Boswell looked pretty good, untill being stopped. Sadly the winner of this fight would easily be one of the top American prospects along with Chambers, and the slow limited Arreola.

Fields, despite all his shortcomings, throws a lot of punches, has good stamina, and a ton of size/reach. Boswell is old and pretty inactive, so this seems like a Fields decision or possible late stoppage through accumulation.
Yeah Fields is probably waiting around to cash out in the biggest fight he can get. Boswell is still going to be the best guy he has faced but he shouldn't derail Fields plan on scoring a big payday. Might actually be an entertaining bout. |
