malinaggi will never be more than a contender at 140. in spite of his skills and speed he couldnt punch his way out of a wet paper bag. he did beat ngdoujo, even tho herman brought the heat in the later rounds malignaggi still deserved the win

It's obvious what Sky's game is, however those of us who actually follow the sport can see he's made his name in a beatdown LOSS to a drained Cotto and a consensus gift against Ngoujou.
He's a decent but far from elite fighter. They won't be selling the truth though. Await the bullshit.

I can't see him beating Hatton. I though he was beaten quite handily by Ngoudjo.

What was the verdict like in comparison to the one JLC was given?

In my opinion the JLC fight was a close one that could have gone either way. I thought Ngoudjo won clearly.

So basically you feel that Herman beat both, and should be in line for a shot at Hatton?

I haven't seen either, but would like to, just to understand what people are talking about!

Malignaggi definitely lost to Ngoudjo, it was actually quite clear and easy to score.

In line for a shot at Hatton?! He should be in line for a title shot and it should be against Paulie because he was robbed last time.

Malignaggi could cause an upset if he comes on strong in the later rounds like Collazo did. Accumulation of fairly light punches seems to scramble Hatton's brain and make his legs wobble when he gases out.

If Hatton still has something left he should **** Malignaggi right up anyway.

Malignaggi got badly hurt by Ngoudjo, so I wouldn't be worrying about whos legs are likely to be wobbling

Well is remember scoring Malignaggi vs Ngjoudo 116 - 112 to Paulie. and Castillo vs Ngjoudo 115 - 113 to Castillo so I guess the castillo was closer.

117-111 | 116-113 | 115-113 - for Malignaggi UD

115-113 | 113-115 | 113-115 - for Castillo SD

I think if Malignaggi can walk through cotto he can walk through hatton. Malignaggis speed will be to much for hatton. I also think PM's power is massivley udner rated, although he has not stoped many, he has put alot of guys on there ass. (Same as Willie Limmond)

He didn't exactly 'walk through' Cotto, he got beaten to a pulp and my question is whether he'll ever be the same again

The evidence is he won't, because he was really wobbled by Ngoudjo who is not a big puncher.

I agree. I'd expect Hatton to win but Pauli is good enough to beat him if Hatton is on the slide as some are saying.

Hatton is now an 8 rounds rights. If its an even fight with 4 to go Mallignaggi takes it.

I had PM vs Cotto even going into the last round. He may have taken a beating but he gave alot to, that was Cottos toughest fight at title level and I have cotto number 4 in the world right now.
