Default Re: Can Haye beat Klitschko?

The Mock stoppage was bullshit, the ref had just about as much reason to stop the fight as he had in round 2 when Haye was down and up at the count of 9 on shaky legs. It looked as if the ref was worried that if they keep swinging like that Haye may get KO'd and that would be bad in front of the home crowd.

Haye has very little punch resistance, but aside from that his speed decreases dramatically as rounds go buy. He's also very reckless in his attacks and quite predictable, always throwing the same three punches - an off-target jab, right cross and a wide left hook for dessert. The way Wlad's capable of leaning back and moving out quickly on his feet he could land his jab, get out of the way of Haye's punches, come back with a jab and retreat again, throw an occasional right cross and step back while Haye's wide swings will catch nothing but air. Notice how his feet never move when he's punching - he's always standing in the same spot leaning forward with his body. That's a bad sign, because you need to be able to move well against Klitschko.

A fine, well thought out analysis.

Actually Haye fights similar to the way Vitali fights by leaning in to coax the opposing fighter into throwing something so they can counter. The main difference being that Vitali has an iron chin & more height so he can get away with this style more than a guy like Haye who will be the smaller man in the ring when he's fighting real Heavyweights.

Don't be foolked into thinking the Maccranelli fight is an indicator of how Haye would do against Wlad. Different worlds! Wlad KO10.

At least I think we're closer than when this thread happened...?

what the **** makes you think he can just come back and start knocking people over again? that is of course providing he isn't KO'd by his training camp again.
I really thought by now he was going to have moved back to Injury City. Somebody got some other poor soul's shoulders and kneecaps on the German black market or something.

According to Wladimir Klitschko, Haye is his next opponent and then Povetkin. He says they have started negotiations.

haye's a puncher, it'll be a bad sign if haye had his feet off the ground when he punched which only takes his power away. haye plants his feet on the ground when he's punching, that's one of the reasons why he punches hard. you're supposed to have your feet planted when punching, but then after the punch is thrown, haye moves.

it'll be a tough fight, but vitali's declining now, and he might have problems with the speed of haye's punches. i noticed vitali liked to throw a left hook, but because his opponent is smaller, it's a left hook that is low, which haye could counter time and time again over the top with his right hand.

everyone can talk about vitali's chin, but haye has hurt every pro opponent he has ever faced, and i'm sure if haye lands cleanly, then eventually you're going to see an effect on vitali.

Vitali will knock Haye out cold. Vitali will have no problem with Haye, it would be an easier fight than Sosnowski. Haye has broken two contracts with Klitschkos and keeps on running. Haye has lost his voice. Haye knows he can't beat either Klitschko. Styles make fights and Haye is perfect style for Vitali or Vlad.

Theoretically, Haye can beat the Klits. He will need a bit of luck of landing first without taking damage himself. The problem is that he doesn't seem to eager fighting either Klit so that makes this entire discussion futile.

No haye can not beat a klitschko, the bitch has to get in the ring with a klitschko for that to happen. That is why it never will happen.

Haye has zero chance and that's why Haye broke two contracts. Where is Haye now?
