i agree to this.. ESPECIALLY if cotto fights and loses to oscar
pac right now probably has the biggest fan following of the fighters floyd could possibly fight (other than oscar) add that together with 4 24/7 episodes floyds regular shit talking roach vs roger mayweather pt 2 this fight could possibly generate more money than both the oscar & hatton fights |

This is an easy thread to pick out who on this board knows nothing and who actually know something about boxing. If you think Manny would beat Mayweather get your ass on the side that knows nothing. Manny has no advantage on Mayweather and losses heavily in the defence department.

I'm sure if Cotto wins against Margarito and Oscar in impressive fashion that the public will demand that fight ... but they're both young enough to give it a year or so to build up the hype. (between Cotto v Floyd)
Pac is here and now ... he has a bigger fan base than anyone not named DLH and he's on a war path ... starting at 106 and now winning a title at 130 is very impressive - especially considering that he's won 3 paper titles and 2 linear titles. |

Floyd can make 140 ... he's in terrific shape and can meet Pac at 143 or something like that ... I'm sure that Arum would do it, if he can make money off of Mayweather ... especially if he's fighting a guy from his stable. Everyone is aware of the riff between Mayweather and TopRank and this would give Arum a chance to make more money off of PBF even though they had a bitter split. |

Shane Mosley ... 0 fights at light welter ... all of a sudden he jumps up to WW and fights for a title. Roy Jones jr ... started off at MW .... skipped CW and fought for a HW title. PBF fought only 1 fight at 140 ... 3 fights at 147 ... then challenged for a SWW title. Weight isn't an issue when mentioning p4p ... Hell there was talks about Paul Williams challenging Kelly Pavlik for the MW title. |

If Floyd came out of retirement just to fight Pacquiao who was gifted with decisions against JMM, it WOULD BE A DISGRACE! Avoid Margarito, Williams and Cotto to wait till someone from a lighter weight division moves up? Typical and disgraceful. Only Mayweather nuthuggers would have any respect for Floyd after a pathetic move like the one you are cooking up.

What if Cotto loses to Margarito or DLH ? ... like Pacquiao v Mayweather ... Cotto v Mayweather isn't a sure thing.
There's alot going into things ... Cotto has 2 potential tough fights ahead of him ... if he gets past Margarito, he has DLH in the waiting. |

This fight won't happen.
Both Pacquiao and Mayweather are interested in one thing - winning. Unfortunately for Pacquiao, Mayweather has bigger fish to fry before he considers a Pacquiao fight...Pac is in the wrong division, isn't tested enough at the high(er) weights, and isn't the draw OR the legacy fight that PBF needs to be interested. My best guess is that PBF has 2-3 more fights left in him - max. That puts him at late 2009 before he can even thinks about a Pacquiao fight... PBF won't fight Pacquiao unless he's sure he'll win. Floyd isn't getting any younger, though, so it probably won't happen. Floyd will go for DLH 2 and Hatton 2 before he goes for Pacquiao again, that's just the way he is. I don't think he'll ever fight Cotto, unless Cotto gets exposed somehow because, like I said, PBF picks fights he will win. He won't risk anything, especially at this stage in his career. |
