Mannie Seamon (the trainer of Joe Louis after Jack Blackburne had died) was known as a good predictor. According to Ronald K. Fried he picked Muhammad Ali to win the first fight against Sonny Liston.

There was a fellow known as Mr Gray back in the forties and fifties--real name Bernie Carbo--who never ever picked wrong. Every time he put big money down on a fighter, that fighter won, regardless of the odds. Certainly the best prognosticator in boxing history.

I hear this fellow who goes by the name of Revolver and Homicidal Hank is able to prove for scientific fact who's going to win a fight. However, for some odd reason, I don't think I've ever seen him actually predict one, in spite of dozens of requests. That being the case, I s'pose he's disqualified...

There was this fellow who always thought he would win, and was correct 49 times in a row.

The most reliable predictors for me are the ones who keep their mouths shut most of the time, oponening it only when there is a genuine reason to make their pick -fullstop-
