That's a good point! Mike had a good run as champion not to meniton he did whip Jackson. Mike is probably best or second best.

It just really sucks that we never got to see Tony Jr. kick the **** out of Duran, Benitez and countless others!

The only other superwelter I could possibly see beating El Torito would be Jackson...... and just MAYBE Hearns, on a given night.

I'd put Wilfred Benitez in the top 5. He had that one punch knockout against Maurice Hope, beat Duran, and narrowley lost to Hearns at the weight.

Narrowly? I thought Hearns won it clearly.

It lookd as though Tommy beat him by around the same margin as Leonard. Wilfred would never even test Norris. Mo Hope was a sitting duck- no skill at all.

I have to agree. I really don't think Duran, Benitez, those guys would have much of a chance. Out of all the fighters at this weight class, it's Tony with the best chance with Terry. Tony hit too hard for any jr middle around and most middleweights of his time. Actually I think the middleweights were better than the jr middles. All the best jr middles kept losing to the top middleweights.
