Willard and Douglas stand out in my memory as champions who waddled into the ring in less than top shape and paid the price.

Tony Tubbs against Whitherspoon; hell virtually any defence by the Lost Generation.

Buster Douglas's "effort" against Evander Holyfield was a disgrace.

I was gutted to see Corrie Sanders turn up in shit shape for Vitali weing-in, what the hell was he thinking? As it was he still fought a gutsy fight, unlike Douglas against Holy.
Bowe between the first and second Holy fights...big difference in physical appearance.

Bowe allegedly ballooned up to 280 pounds before Holyfield II, and had to rapidly drop a lot of weight to get down even to the too-heavy 246 for that fight. He really didn't think Holyfield stood a chance againt him in the rematch, and trained accordingly.

While he couldn't match the shape he was in in '92, when he fought Holyfield the third time in '95 he did notably put in one of his best training camps...didn't want to underestimate Holy again.

I thought Moorer wasn't in great shape for the second Holyfield fight in 1997, for his IBF title.
223 pounds doesn't sound like much but it was for Moorer, 11 pounds heavier than his previous fight and giving him a bit of a 'jelly roll'. He even got some laughter from the journalists at the weigh-in when his weight was announced, which has got to be pretty humiliating.
Of course, Moorer went on to redefine his heaviest wright over the following years...

Between Page vs Tubbs and Tubbs vs Witherspoon, probably Tubbs by a hair.

Moorer was coming off surgery among other things for Holyfield II.

I find it funny how Holyfield's hepatitis/HGH derived issues are seemingly a excuse for him losing in Moorer I, yet Moorer has never gotten the same benefit of the doubt.
