On his rise to the title, he beat some really good fighters in willie monroe, benny briscoe and bobby watts. He beat elite ATG THomas Hearns in 3 I believe that Haglers reign would of been much longer if not for boxing politics |

I would still argue Harry Greb. Billy Miske, Al McCoy, Jack Dillon, Battling Levinsky, Willie Meehan, Mike McTigue, Gunboat Smith, Solider Bartfield and Mike Gibbons are all victims of his at middleweight, not to mention his wins over the likes of Tommy Gibbons, Gene Tunney, Tommy Loughran, Kid Norfolk and Tiger Flowers at light-heavy when he weighed in around the middleweight limit still.
