I voted for Robinson's because I think he took out a tougher man. Both are great knockouts though, and I won't argue on it.

Clearly Robinson's. Jones' was a lunging, wild attempt at a punch that happened to land on the right spot. Robinson's was far more calculated.

I guess the durability of Fulmer is what really tips me to lean towards SRR. But Jones is left hook/upper cut is definately a great punch.

I like it when people use words like " skilled " and " Clever" to describe one fighter, while implying that the same didn't apply to great fighters like Gene Fullmer. Sounds like the all too familiar testimony of a typical ESB troll who never watched the fighters that he comments on.

I think it's pretty commical how people think that just because they've listed some fights, that others will buy the notion that they've seen them. I particularly find these claims highly questionable in their integrity when the so called viewer professes that an all time great, who's fights he claims to have seen, was lacking in skill. A poster by the name of prime Frazier ( who has since been banned from ESB, ) did this very sort of thing. He called Ali-Frazier I the fight of the century, boring. I asked him if he indeed saw the fight, and he said that he had, yet was unsuccessful at taking the discussion any further than his falacious and ill upported claims.

I doubt Senya owns those fights. Or if he does, he's just skimmed through them or perhaps not even attempted watching half of them.

I don't need youtube when I have those fights recorded at much better quality. I have some 80-90% of stuff ESPN Classic Sports has been showing (hundreds of fights and documentaries), most of them I've recorded myself (MPEG2 broadcast).

I voted SRR myself. It was a much harder punch to throw and knock someone out as he was walking backwards. It's probably the best knockout punch ever. |
