This is an easy pick. Manny Steward is easily the best trainer in boxing. Look at his record for the fighters he trained in title fights. Thanks to Steward, Lewis has become a complete all around great fighter. If it wasn't for Steward, Holyfield wouldn't beat Bowe in the second fight. If it wasn't for Steward, Wlad would have got 6 ko losses.

Enzo Calzaghe?! He's a terrible trainer!! He has a highly talented son whose natural gifts make him a successful boxer, and Enzo has not had any great sustained success with anyone else. He merely tries to mould other guys with different physical attributes and different styles into "his Joe" and it doesn't work- Haye v Maccarinelli and Rees v Kotelnik.

Roach wins for me. Mayweather Sr does the same thing Enzo does, tries to turn guys into a little Floyd clone.

manny steward is overrated

take kermit cintron, in two back to back fights he gave him bad advice... feliciano and margarito II

in the margarito fight he was telling kermit not to back off and that toni would tire... on what planet did he think that was good advice for a long armed guy who gets the most power into his shots from range? and against margarito too! kermit's defense and inside game aren't that great yet he's telling him to stand his ground against margarito?! insane

Of the four listed, I'll go with Mayweather.

I think Manny is getting by on his past accomplishments these days. Not only have his fighters suffered some big losses lately, but they have looked bad in doing it. (Harris, Lee, Cintron). Plus, I'm still bothered by how quickly he left Cintron in the lockeroom after the Margo rematch to get on the microphone for the Cotto/Gomez fight. That might not be a big thing to some people, but it seemed to indicate to me that he didn't have much regard for Cintron besides the paycheck he got for training him.

He has also developed more fighters which is much more impresive for me although i feel he has slipped a bit.
I agree. He can change to deal with different style fighters. What he has done for Wlad is amazing. Turned a 6-6 245lb man into a good boxer lite on his feet.
