Default Green Beyer II (Rd 12)

I remember watching an interview with Danny a while back and he claimed there was supposed to be a no standing 8 count in this bout. Does anyone know if this is true and if it is WTF was the ref doing getting in Danny's way as he pummeled Beyer?

Actually I didnt think it was a knock down so in that respect Danny should have been given free rain to unload on him. Having said that I would have draged Danny away and cautioned him for tackling. Then kicked him in the arse for being a redneck.

I recon lack of skill on Greens part saved Beyer. Beyer took the second fight with fear in his heart. He needed a therapist after the mauling he coped from fists and head in the first fight. But his trainer would have sat him down and shown him tapes of Green and just said you cant loss to a guy like this if you slip and counter. Danny just has no skill and that will get exposed every time he steps up.

if Green has another chance of winning a title, he has to hand pick a champion to target he knows he can beat. he has chosen Tarver, but i think he could have chosen one of the others to target which may have been easier.

hey 'peels, danny has no skill? how did he represent his country at commonwealth and olympic level , winning fights, and how did he outbox and hammer beyer in the first fight, in only his 17th pro fight, and how did he then ko former world champ in 6 rds in montreal to become the wbc world interim champion, and how has he continued to destroy opponents in less time than other world champs- with no skill???!!! quite a proposterous , uneducated, seemingly redneck statement to make i think 'peels.it would appear that you have a personal dislike for green with comments like that, or are a tad envious of him and his achievements, especially for a mug with no skill. would love to see how much skill you have 'peels!!!laughing just thinking about that.keep the laughs cummin in champion, you are a crack up.

Chill shiner, did not mean to get between you and Dannys nuts, big fella. What I mean is on the world stage Danny has no skill, and I stand behind his record in that regard. Shiner, continue shining your light for Danny. He is such a top bloke and deserves the loyalty of your nuthugging mob.

So has anyone got any thoughts on the ref's actions in round 12? Was he justified in getting involved?

I have no problem with what the ref did - it's been a while since I've watched that fight, so I shall watch it again to have a closer look at rd 12 - but in my eyes, Beyer counterpunched Green from go to woe - there were plenty of close rounds, but Beyer deserved to win the fight.

From what I remember, Green came charging out like a bull at a gate at the start of rd 12, throwing every last bit at Beyer, and very nearly got a KO, but you could see he was exhausted by that point.

I think the ref separated them because it was very messy, Green fell on top of Beyer as he was falling down the ropes, and it was fair enough in my eyes.

Just ignore Eels Rule. He is in a lucid dream from sucking the sweat from Chocs ball sack after a hard training session. Coupled with his severe brain damage from the numerous skull ****ings he has recieved over the years, he is basically as intelligent as a reatarded goldfish. The fact that he can breathe and maintain basic bodily funcion without help most days is nothing short of a miracle.

danny didnt fight smart in that fight, as can be said of him in a few of his other fights too, he lost fair and square, but to crap on about how he has no skill is part bullshit, and mostly pure hatery (yeah i said hatery) you sir, are an ignoramus

Good to see you back joffo!

I just watched the fight again, and this is how I scored it:

rd 1 - draw (could be argued it was a Green round though, as Beyer was very tentative and Green landed more jabs)

rds 2, 4, 6, 10 and 12 to Green - NB - rd 12 was 10-8 to Green

rds 3, 5, 7, 8, 9, 11 to Beyer

So 6 rds to 5 with 1 rd a draw, but Green's 10-8 rd 12 makes it a draw.

The Italian judge got it right!

But yeah, watching Green's entrance he was too ****y, and I think he thought it was going to a repeat of their first fight without the DQ - he didn't fight intelligently, but having said that, he still put in a good account of himself.

Watching it again, Green looked very tired from rd 7 onwards, but he did very well to nail Beyer in the 12th.

I don't know what the rules were, but yes, Beyer got a standing 8 count, but again, he didn't go down cleanly - he was definitely on his way down, but the Green fell on top of him, which kind of messed up the fact that Beyer eventually touched the canvas.

Green was very gracious in defeat, and it wasn't a schooling as my memory had led me to believe.

Green was counterpunched well by Beyer, but he also stayed competitive in the fight.

PS - Green's wife is a ****ing honey - hadn't seen her for ages!!!

About to watch Briggs vs Jorge Castro - an unlikely looking bloke, but a tough opponent
