Even if they never did offically move up, if they still KO'ed heavyweight level guys, name them.

He did fight at lightheavy into 1956.

Your point is well-taken though. I don't think of Patterson as a lightheavy. I think a man should reach a certain maturity, let's say 23, or maybe 25, and still be fighting at lightheavy to be considered a lightheavy at all. After all, Louis and Ali were lightheavies in the amateurs as teenagers.

Moore is certainly a good choice. He knocked out two olympic heavyweight gold medalists, Lovell and Rademacher, as well as men at one time or another ranked in the top ten heavyweights as Buddy Walker, Jimmy Bivins, Bob Satterfield, Alberto Lovell, Bob Dunlap, Phil Muscato, Bob Baker, Roger Rischer, Willi Besmanoff, James J Parker, and Alejandro Lavorante.

Bob Satterfield is another who carried a dangerous punch up to heavyweight, kayoing Lee Oma, Bob Baker, Cleveland Williams and John Holman, among others.

Well, judging from things he claimed in his autobiography, I wouldn't be surprised if his water bottle was spiked with bathtub gin.
