“I’m hearing all this talk about Fedor Emelianenko, but who gives a (expletive) about Fedor?” said Lesnar, who gets the title shot in just his fourth pro mixed martial arts match. “I don’t care. I’m fighting Randy Couture and that’s what this press conference is about. I don’t give a damn about Fedor. I’m tired of hearing about (expletive) Fedor. All right? Randy Couture is fighting Brock Lesnar Nov. 15. His No. 1 concern should be Brock Lesnar. And Dana White could care less about Fedor.” White agreed, saying he had been frequently critical of Emelianenko publicly because of what he said was the Russian’s failure to face top competition.

He said he harbored no hard feelings toward Couture and would try to make a fight with Emelianenko if Emelianenko becomes a free agent. He stressed that the UFC would not get involved with Emelianenko until he was free and clear.

But he also said Emelianenko is a larger-than-life figure primarily because of the media. “Fedor is completely (expletive) irrelevant,” White said. “Completely.”

I am never buying another UFC again. I'm tired of Dana and his arrogance. Oh I will watch the fights don't get me wrong, but pay? No way. Lesnar is a dipshit and doesn't deserve a shot at the belt, Randy should be fighting the winner of Mir/Nog, oh but we have to wait for that dumbass show to start then end before that fight happens. It just shows how weak the HW division is in the UFC for a guy with four fights under his belt to get a shot.

As far as Fedor being irrelevant, he should ask his interm champ how irrelevant he is.

Lesnar already is getting a title shot? That's bullshit and completely disrespectful to the other fighters who've trained a lifetime in various martial arts disciplines, but the UFC is a business after all and a Lesnar fight for the title will indeed SELL because of all the wwf marks who'd tune in to watch that fight and that one only.

That's my beef with Lesnar pretty much. Yeah, he's got the wrestling credentials and someone pointed that out to me a while back, but if he hadn't been fake slapping guys in underwear while on the juice a couple of years ago he'd never be as aggressively marketed and given a tittle shot in 3-5 fights in the UFC, hell he wouldn't even be in the UFC because NO ONE WOULD'VE HEARD OF HIM. Not to mention his venture into mixed martial arts was the result of his NFL Football dream being dashed because he got axed by the Minnesota Vikings. The other reason, which is just as big, is that wwe marks flood the message boards/yahoo answers with howw Lesnar is so bad ass and pro wrestlers in general are walking weapons and can beat up anyone, though their renditions of "fighting" on tv are pretty pathetic.

I find it very embarrassing that White acts like he does. Fedor is the best. He just whooped Sylvia and he's whooped Nor. Plus he'll face Arlovski or some shit. His comp is fine now. Fedor is the best and will be until he is beaten.

Brock is a silly match for Couture. Brock shouldn't be getting a title shot.

Just about every fighter who was once a stand out amature wrestler is a complete **** head and usually very stupid. I would be very happy if you guys could point out a few exceptions from this rule.

This is misleading.

Now, I'm certainly no fan of White (or even Lesnar- though I do recognise him as a beast and possible future Champ) - but this hour long press call was for Couture/Lesnar and virtually every question was about Couture/Fedor. So White was, for once, right: Fedor was irrelevant here (well maybe not irrelevant, but you know...). And Lesnar was understandably pissed that noone seemed to care he was even there

I understand that I just think that giving Lesnar a title shot now is very telling on the lack of HW fighters in the UFC. Plus when the fuk is this Mir/Nog fight happening? The show should start soon right?
