Power?
Basically, people who just threw wild, completely non-textbook punches but still killed guys. Foreman's not the roughest, he's shown the fundamentals at times... But he's also looked really, really out of place throwing those bombs at times. Thoughts? |

Every era has their "tank" kind of fighter: a very heavy handed slugger with not the best technique, and great chin which gives a fighter almost impossible to move or back up.
George Foreman, Samuel Peter, Luis Firpo, Tony Galento, etc. |

Prince Naseem Hamed.
A while back, somebody posted a topic on picture-perfect fighters, and we talked about how many photos of Joe Louis landing heavy punches looked posed because he was in such textbook position. Hamed was the exact opposite -- in plenty of pictures, he looks like a spastic drunk -- arms and legs every which way. From those pictures, if you didn't know who he was, you'd never believe that he was a pro, or a winner. |

Galento.
Fans like Amsterdam have criticised his technique with some justification. He got as far as No4 ranked contender with almost all his wins coming by knockout. Try to find a fighter who has a higher percentage of his total wins coming by knockout or a lower percentage coming by decision. "Nobody ever hit me harder than that fat little man" Joe Louis "I watched Galento hit the heavy bag and he seemed to hit it harder than Sonny Liston" Journalist who saw both hit the heavy bag. |

Julian jackson and john mugabi both have a very high % of wins being knockouts, and a very low % of points wins. They were also stopped in their losses a lot...Maybe shavers?
