Default Opinions on here that you strongly disagree with

I strongly disagree with the following statements:
1. "Prime" frazier would have beat Foreman.
2. Tyson was at his best vs douglas and lost because Buster was the better fighter.
3. Roy Jones had a glass chin before he got KO'd by tarver
4. size doesnt matter, for example Marciano beats Lewis, Frazier beats Klitschko
5. Lennox Lewis beats Mike Tyson before the botha fight
6. the Chavez-Taylor fight was correctly stopped.
7. Antonio Margarito never loaded his gloves.
8. Fighters suspected or caught for PED's are "cheaters" and should be less regarded.

I find these days I'm more settled imo.

I strongly disagree with most robbery claims, especially those we can't see ourselves.

I strongly disagree with dismissing size disparity without any sort of justification.

I strongly disagree that the lineal champ is the man in the division (take MW right now for example).

I strongly disagree with justifying ducking for fiscal reasons.

The only ones I agree with are #5 and #8.

And I thinkk prime v. prime Tyson wins

As for #4, I believe size does matter, but in the example you gave of Frazier/Klitckho, I believe Frazier had the speed, power to get inside Wlad's reach and hurt him, possibly ko him. At least the Wlad that fought Sanders.

Fair enough but you think that:
You think Tyson was at his best vs Douglas, that Margarito never had anything in his wraps and that Roy Jones had a glass chin before he was KO'd?

I can understand that you might think Lewis beats tyson and that the taylor fight was correctly stopped, those are debatable

I strongly disagree with anyone that think that larry holmes beating foreman is a fact based on YOUNG and ali, absurd, for the same motive i pick foreman to stop him... weavee, snipes, spoon , shavers.. foreman was a better finisher than all them. .
I strongly disagree with anyone who judge fantasy fight based on his greatness in his own era... tua would much better in the rocky era and marciano would worse in tua's
Yes.
I do give larry a chance though, but not based on the ali and young fights. I think his jab was snappy enough to bother george and he could move well enough to avoid him and had a good enough chin to take a shot from him every now and then, question is for how long? Im slightly leaning toward foreman to get him around round 6-8 with larry ahead

All fair points mate! Jeffries is arguable I choose not to though, so I can sympathise with your thoughts. I take Foreman over Holmes. Had the spoon fight been fought in a later era it would have likely ended in the ref stopping Larry on his feet, he was completley out of it! Spot on on the fantasy fight scenario, although that doesn't mean Tua automatically wins if you know what I mean?

I disagree strongly against a lot of things posted, but most of the time it isn't worth bothering. I have the opinion that trying to work out how they've come up with a certain view point gives you a greater understanding, rather than to simply dismiss it, even in the most extremely opinionated of circumstances.

I disagree, ive watched his first 50 fights a couple times each in the last 2 weeks and ive seen him hit flush several times by griffin, ruiz, tarver(first fight), del valle and many others. yes he got hit much much less than other fighters, but 50 fights alot of them 12 rounders against LHWs is more than enough time for a fighter, regardless of how elusive, to reveal his chinnyness. The man spent 10 years on the top level without getting hurt once, only getting dropped once on a slip. I saw him get hit right on the jaw by ruiz and he looked annoyed at worst.

Then he got one punch KO'd by tarver after not getting hurt in the first fight. After that he got hurt in his next 3 fights against johnson(not a puncher) tarver again, and even against prince badu whatever in the first round. IMO the man's chin was cracked.
Besides if you watch the 3rd tarver fight its very clear roy still had most of his speed and reflexes, the legs may have been gone but he was still fast. He could have won the fight if not stopped Tarver if he hadnt been scared. He wasnt throwing anthing

I guess that my main point of disagreement is the whole evolution of the sport argument.

Boxing has been a boulder in the river of the sporting world. While every other discipline has evolved and improved, while the waters have flowed towards greater perfection, boxing alone has stayed stationary... or even walked itself upstream.

Sound thinking there, Mr. Janitor.

1. "Prime" frazier would have beat Foreman. agree
2. Tyson was at his best vs douglas and lost because Buster was the better fighter. i dont think tyson was shot like i saw some claim but he wasnt his best, douglas really squandered the reputation of the win with his showing vs holyfield
3. Roy Jones had a glass chin before he got KO'd by tarver i think glass jaw is over used term anyway
4. size doesnt matter, for example Marciano beats Lewis, Frazier beats Klitschko agree
5. Lennox Lewis beats Mike Tyson before the botha fight whose botha fight? tysons or lewis
6. the Chavez-Taylor fight was correctly stopped. i disagree, i dont love the call but all taylor had to do was say im ok
7. Antonio Margarito never loaded his gloves. agree here, there is no evidence he successfully cheated
8. Fighters suspected or caught for PED's are "cheaters" and should be less regarded. i think this is a very unique subject

agree on the robbery claims

scoring is so subjective plus factor in the one angle, no instant replay no punch stat no commentary bias

its not so easy
