Oooouuuuuuffffff that's just plain horrible to watch, imagine just getting hit on the shoulders by that? That said Andre Ward has moved up to face a bigger monster in Kovalev so I think we should put that to bed.
The face you make when a handful of idiots either believe or want to believe your offer to GGG at 168 was legit: This content is protected
Let's not forget that Olympic silver medalist and world amateur champion, who finished as an amateur with a record of 345-5 and now an unbeaten professional world champion on a 20 plus KO streak who hits that ridiculously hard is just hype job, fraud, ducker who fights bums.
I know! And all he had to do to get 50-50 for a career high payday against cash cow Golovkin, would be to drop 4lbs. Golovkin got more in his last fight for fighting a welterweight in the UK than he would've got for Ward. It's not like he was expecting Ward to do anything more for him than Dawson had done for Ward, in fact, it was a fair bit less than Dawson did.
I really like Ward but this was one of my main beefs with people talking about GGG moving to 168 to fight Ward. Theres no money or career advancement in it. Wouldve loved to seen the fight but i understand why it didnt happen. When you got a big money fight against Canelo and your also offering to drop to 154 just for Floyd why would you move up and kill any chance of one of those big money fights to fight a guy who cant sell out in his home town?
Ward moved up to 175 because he could not make 168, remember, as an amateur Ward fought at 178 which is his natural weight anyway..................also, Ward needed big money and there was a lot of pressure from HBO......................
For whatever reason Ward moved from SMW to LHW, I believe it was the correct decision because from MW to SMW, there is no one who has a chance of competing with Ward. Kovalev is the only real big fight chance Ward has, and after beating Kov, then Stevenson. Those are the two biggest fights of 2016/2017.
