Ok, I know both of them aren't world beaters, most likely neither of them ever wins world belt, and they have many holes in their game. But what a FIGHT that was! Great fight from start to finish. Reminds a HW version of Gatti-Ward. Both gave it all. You may have the A-level skillset but never take part in a fight like that. I'd like to watch 2nd part of Whyte-Chisora rather then Joshua-Molina or Wilder-Arreola or mismatches like that for a 'world belts'. That's exactly why people like boxing for.
Everyone is looking at the top, but their fights are never the same, untill they meet other top fighters. AJ is the greatest talent in HW since a young Mike Tyson, but the fights are too one sided. Boxing needs more fights like Chisora vs. Whyte. Throw in the likes of Szpilka, Duhaupas, Pulev, Teper etc. and great fights could be made. Fights that boxing needs. Also in other weight divisions. There is enough space on the famous cards, to put one or two fights like this inside.
That was a great fight to watch. If Del Boy wasn't so "damaged goods" he could have won that. He connected with some flush punches, but kept gassing (fair enough too). Props to Dillian for his whiskers.
Great fight was exciting from start to finnsih. Felt really good watching a important heavyweight scrap!
And to think that Chisora will hardly get paid anything because of that fine makes me sick while Joshua gets paid a tonne for fighting a tomato can
It was a decent war as I expected. I thought Chisora would edge it which he nearly did. Chisora though an ape is one of those fighters who is a good measuring stick of other HW's. Perennial loser but a boxer better than his resume suggests. Martin Murray is another example. Only the best at HW have beaten DC decisively. Fury & Vitali put on a clinic, haye displayed his seminal power against him and Helenius got exposed. Pulev showed he is a clever fighter & better than his Klitscko performance suggests. Whyte showed he is basically at the level I suspected, Chisora level. Chisora, Bika, Murray the measurements fighters...
