The comeback will be huge. It might be for the wrong reasons, but the exposure Fury has been receiving recently has been on a scale even bigger than when he won the titles - that says it all for me.

At his age, he has years to come back and be competetive and if he ever does decide to do so, the anticipation around the world will be on a level we haven't seen in the heavyweight division for many years.

If he can somehow become teetotal and focus on boxing, there's still a hell of a lot left for him in the sport. He's young enough, talented enough and now famous/infamous enough to come back to an absolute blockbuster of a fight.

Fury could well be this generation's Muhammad Ali.

    Yep this.

Fury balloons up to 300lbs or more between fights, imagine how much damage he would do to himself with a few years off. Even if he did come back the huge weight loss would leave him a vastly faded fighter.

Possum will accumulate in his system during the off years and he will never recover.

if he gets a lengthy ban like say 2 yrs it could well ruin him...he's not stable when free to do what he wants and fight...how will he be when he can't earn the money he's become accustomed to earning ? Knocking on doors asking he folks want their garden trees cutting/trimming won't get him enough money. He will attempt a comeback as his money will run dry especially if his coke habit is getting expensive. He'll try to come back and find its gone...2yrs + of rust and obesity would be more than he could overcome as he shows now he's not committed enough..it would be too big a mountain for him to climb and concur IMO. I hope he can get his life back on track and dedicate himself to clean living and his craft. If he is to get found guilty of the Deca charges then I hope they aren't too stringent on him. It is far less a 'crime' than biting a heavy PED users ear off really isn't it ?

    I am really disapointed.

His mental strength as a fighter was A+ ....unshakeable confidence.

Outside the ring he just has too many vices that he could not shake.

if he had unshakeable confidence, why did he duck a handful or more of fighters?

It's hard to imagine that he could come back strong. He appears to have no discipline at all.

    It's sad and disappointing.

    It's all scripted.
Of course he will come back.
No one was buying Fury-Klitschko 2 as things stood, and Klitschko is on record in the last couple of years as saying he wants to dominate for another 10 years - so this is all to be understood in the right context.
Now it all comes down to whether they want Klitschko or Joshua as the man to oppose the 'villain' Fury.
Maybe it's all about Wilder ... who knows. The script is subject to changes.

Fury's a genius and he's going to make more money from a few fights than anyone has ever made. Honestly, this could be bigger than May-Pac fight, and you will probably have to wait just as long.

So was Buster Douglas' for 60 minutes in Tokyo. Just like Fury vs. Wlad for 60 minutes.

A champion is proving his worth over many years of dominance. Not during 60 minutes of good performance. Fury was never championship material, he was mentally way too fragile and surrounded himself with a highly unprofessional team.

    Fury hasn't been beaten yet.
You're talking as if he's all finished.
