Good video with one HUGE point omitted.

At the end of round 6 as they were in a clinch Lewis landed a short chopping right to Vitali's temple and his legs turned to spaghetti.
THIS was THE fight changing punch.. and you missed it.
    Cheers.

Great fight on a 2 weeks notice. They fought like a sparring wars session without headgear and with little strategy/gameplan, just banging and guts. I had thought about why the fight went the way it did and that was my conclusion. Looked like a sparring war. Who knows what this fight would have looked like with a proper 10 week training camp. Lewis was projecting during that fight ending interview, he's the one that looked like he was about done. I had Vitali ahead 4-2 going into the stoppage. I didn't agree with the stoppage at the time, at least not at that point. Fight might not have lasted another 2 rounds.
    Good video.

Correct. That and the uppercut Lewis landed before to me was the end for Vitali. Cuts or not Lewis was going to KO him.

I love how Manny was telling Lewis forget boxing, time to fight.

Lewis was gaining more ground and this was a brutal fight.
A rematch would have ended badly for one guy forever IMO.
    Nice summary Rummy

I must of missed it as well because I can't ever recall Vitali's legs turning to jelly in the fight.

Lewis sat down at the end of that round like he'd just run 10 consecutive marathons.

Lewis retired after he couldn't get a second Tyson fight when Vitali became a mandatory fight . The notion he retired after Vitali right away is false . After Vitali defeated Johnson that was 6 months after . Lewis and Steward both picked Johnson to win ,after that he left town . Steward wanted the rematch , Lewis didnt.

Who would win a second time out ? Probably Vitali ,Lewis was quoted in saying giving Vitali short notice gave him the edge over the less experienced Klitchko .

" The fight shouldn't have been stopped ,the cut wasnt in a bad spot .Vitali was on his way to becoming HW champion " A . Dundee ,

Who was a great cut man.
