I need a new pair of gloves soon. I’ve been using a $130 dollar pair of 16oz Cleto Reyes gloves for about a year now. They’re getting a bit worn out now and are starting to hurt my hands/wrists. I’m interested in paying for a winning pair, but they’re $500. I’m willing to spend that much but do they really protect your hands as much as people say they do? If not, which brand would you recommend for max protection?

If you’re still looking mate, I recently switched from a pair of these Fly Superlace to Leone Romero Classics and they’re far superior.

I used to wear "spartan" brand they were misleading though; a 16 oz glove would have all the weight in the wrist not the knuckle padding= not a sparring glove just a nice bag glove due to the huge velcro strap you could bite and then latch on.
