If anything Haye should see that as a good omen lord knows he loves to talk about the Sanders fight so much. Rodriguez is a very good referee. Like I said it is not like he is Germany's version of Dave Parris or Terry O'Connor who I have seen literally commit murder to save or help the hometown British fighter.:rofl:patsch

Who besides Jay Nady is hard on "huggers" as you call it? Clinching is a part of Heavyweight Boxing it always has been.

This same ref was also the one who awarded Malignaggi a KD in the Diaz rematch, when Juan actually slipped.:-(

I know but come on. Haye's only chance of winning this fight is by early KO/TKO. The ref in question gave Wlad a long count and then some more time after the first Sanders knockdown. Surely you can see why Haye would have a problem with this ref.

I had a feeling this may happen after watching the video of Haye training. He was just going through the motion. He'll back out again..

This is just the usual **** we hear before a big fight.

No ref can interfere with what The Hayetrix will unleash on WALDO so it doesn't matter who ref's the destruction.

Dr Toffee Hammer is getting taken apart and taken care of faster than any ref can shout "break"! :hi:

If Haye doesn't want to get held then fight out, throw something and work. Tying up is the oldest trick in the book, but you don't have to give into it. He said he had a game plan for it, so it should be a non issue.

If he did give Wlad extra time it sure as hell didn't matter. Haye is supposed to be a devastating puncher and finisher also so should it really matter?

I seem to remember a thread about how the klitschkos fight black/coloured fighters and use a white ring as camoflauge . . . is that going to bother haye too?

I sure hope that doesn't happen. What a huge letdown it would be....for everyone.

Haye has backed himself into such a corner with the previous backing out, all the trash talk, etc... I don't see how he could back out. It's almost like he MUST fight.

Fair enough, but the ref is only supposed to allow clinching when a fighter is hurt...Constant clinching is negative, and should result in point deductions..

Well, if that is the case Muhammad Ali would have been disqualified from just about every fight he had in the 1970's.....
