How about this for an unpopular opinion in the classic:

Toledo Jack Dempsey would lose to '86-'88 Evander Holyfield & '84-'86 Dwight Qawi at Cruiserweight. :deal

Exactly..nothing against Marv, but Conteh was in a class apart.

I've always said that if Conteh had kept focused, and remained injury free,we'd be taliking about him today in the same breath as Michael Spinks,Bob Foster et al.

Hank Armstrong was a better defensive boxer than Roberto Duran, also add Armstrong to the list of lightweights who would beat Duran.

Pinklon Thomas would've beaten Holmes in '84.

Tony Tubbs would've beaten Holmes in '85, this would've been better for the division because unlike Spinks, Tubbs wouldn't duck Tucker.

Spinks didn't duck Tucker , he just went for the much bigger cash.
How can anyone blame him for choosing the bigger money ?

A fight with a Past-Prime Cooney who was washed-up & horribly rusty was for "much bigger cash"? :huh

Roger Mayweather had a very good shot of beating Hector Camacho if they had fought in the 1983-1984 time range.

    That post deserved immediate censure.

Tyson would KO every fighter in history from any contact sport (except 60s Ali due to styles).

Are you suggesting Foreman was an inferior slugger to Sanders, Peter & Brewster, who all picked up alphabet belts in recent times?:rofl:lol::patsch
