Haye must want to bring own personal house referee with him, the one that ignored it when he got knocked down by Barrett and instead made a federal case out of Barrett's automatic follow up punch, something that boxers, including Haye himself, do all the time and refs don't pay much attention to.

 

Joe Cortez is yet another corrupt referee. Boxing is so f'ing crooked. It always has been, but it's getting worse instead of better. Much worse.

 

Mayweather protested over Cortez or that Hatton would be using too much holding / roughousing. Haye could be doing the same if he believes WALDO will use his immense bulk to lean on Haye and tire him out. It's just all mind games but it's funny how the usual suspects have acted like the ****ing morons we know them to be "Haye is pulling out again waaaa waaaaa waaaaahhhhh!". Don't count your chickens yet, champ. She still might not show up, bad hair day or another "broken hand" or "time of month", never know. And if she does really show up, prepare for something goofy from the Gaye team.

Somehow I don't think Haye himself is personally dealing with this, if it is true. Assuming there is an issue with the Ref, then Haye MIGHT have mentioned it to one of his team, and then they would have dealt with it. Haye is too busy preparing for the fight, and anyone that thinks that he is personally whining about this is delusional.

If Haye's team think they can get an advantage, be it from the Ref in the ring, or phsycological by taken these actions, then you can be sure they will do it. They've already conceded everything anyway.
