Yes ,he does . He fought all the top fighters of his time as champ. And I think he was robbed in the Spinks fight. He was one of the best fighters of any time. Sometimes Quite boring, But it can be a boring fight hitting and not getting hit.

He's basically "like Wlad with no power" is what you meant to say.

Y'know, Larry was like Wlad but without the KO's...............

Larry could box, he's def. an ATG. Well deserved for the jab alone. The speed & accuracy were probably the best at Heavy ever. Snappy but not too powerful.

Let's be fair though, 16 stoppages in 20 defences is a fairly decent stoppage record.

He is no great shakes. He got dropped by a bum named Reynoldo Snipes for an eight count so his chin wasn't all that. He arguably lost to jello-jawed Ken Norton who got unceremoniously K.Oed by every hard puncher he ever faced. He fought a bunch of clowns like the ridiculously scrawny and hapless Scott Peter in so-called title defences. Wlad always insisted on fighting the best no. 1 top contenders and fought Sam Peter and soon Haye who people think is too fast for Wlad. Wlad has been much more courageous in his choice of opponents over the years and is a true gentleman and sportsman of the highest order. Holmes was and is a product of the ghetto and his fithly diatribe against the great, undefeated Rocky Marciano is a testament to his debauchery. Even Micheal Spinks who twice conquered the overated Holmes stated that one doesn't badmouth the dead.

Try watching his fight with Norton . Holmes had a torn Bicep but still turned a great fight.
