Simple thread, state which 1 win that you think is generally overrated and one which is underrated.

    I'll start...

OVERRATED WIN - Joe Calzaghe vs Chris Eubank
    Reason:
Eubank lost 2 fights to Collins, then went into semi-retirement for 2 years, and was apparently coming back as a cruiserweight when he was offered a shot at the WBO smw title at short notice on account of his name.

If guys with deep resumes, like Pacquiao or Mayweather, had a win under these circumstances then no-one would rate it at all, it's only because there is so little else on value on Calzaghe's resume that a win achieved under these circumstances is rated due to name-recognition.

UNDERRATED WIN - Manny Pacquiao vs Marco Antonio Barrera II
    Reason:
The unfairly skewed scorecards in the Barrera-Marquez fight give a false picture of where Barrera was at. MAB could easily have got the verdict that night with other judges, although he had some bad spots in the fight he outjabbed and outboxed JMM for the most part and scored a perfectly legitimate KD which was called foul for some bizarre reason. MAB looked good in the Juarez rematch and looked good in this fight. And Pacquiao beat him with ease, winning almost every round, so so much easier than Marquez managed.

    Suggestions? :bbb

Overrated: Ward over Kessler. Good win but Ward fans are acting like he beat an ATG and therefore overrating Ward based on that one win.

Underrated: Haye against Mormeck. Mormeck had only lost once in ten years and got stopped in his own back yard by a green David Haye.

Good call. That was a tremendous way to take his first world title.

    Overrated: Pac v Cotto.

    Underrated: floyd v marquez.

Some may ask how so, wait until pac v marquez happens at WW and you will have your answer.

seriously, i don't know how hard you'll be crucifying pac if he were the one who fought a blown up fighter. one who forced himself to go up two weight classes within a span of what, 2 months? then **** him up on the weight

overrated: lennox over tyson, people still use it as a example of lennox greatness and how he would always dominate mike h2h while mike was clearly shot at that point which his last fights after that proved.

Underrated: hearns vs hill, usually people talk about his fights with the fab 4 but a older hearns in amuch higher weightclass usuing his boxing iq and outboxing hill was amazing and doesnt get mentioned enough in my opinion.

overrated win: foreman vs moorer, moorer wasnt that good and was dominating to the point where george power bailed him out with a lucky punch, now people act like he was setting it up.

underrated: morales beating a 34-1 ayala, and whooping him
