    Wasn't around in the Golden Age,but I suspect you never saw treadmills,electronic weight machines and WOMEN!Thats just for starters.

    20s or 70s? Floor to ceiling ball, uppercut bag, I'd guess heavier bags generally treadmills. And people who actually know how to skip

    Not in many boxing gyms mate

    Heavyweights with bulging abdomens,suggesting that they are not products of the 1940s
    "golden age". Why, they couldn't even walk up the 12 or so steps leading to Stillman's
    gym.

    Though the mention of state-of-art equipment is true, this is something easily overlooked.

    When I mention what it is, sure it will resonate with ol'-time gym rats.

    I wasn't around in the golden age, but a gym with tradition to it often has a janitor / 2nd cornerman type that knows the history of the gym, and has the inside scoop what really happened when cameras were not rolling. As old gyms close and new ones open, boxing's beloved career caretakers of gyms with the oral history of how it went down are fading away.
