adam smith on ringside mentioned two of the most exciting fighters from these shores ever mcguigan and hatton and then said"and my favourite all time fighter johhny nelson.wtf. johnny was up there with duke mackenzie as the most boring fighters ever to watch,i wud rather watch strictly come dancing.
Tbh when Barry was whipping that left hook over i was hoping he'd let it fly onto Nelson's chin. ''That's for boring the life out of me for whole of your career!''
Barry can be a bit of bully at times, but to be honest even that can make for good viewing. He's got a good all-round knowledge of the game, gets his point across well, and isn't afraid to go against the grain. I like him. Rawlings is ****ing rubbish. If he isn't spunking his trunks over "that tremendous left hook" that never landed, he's talking about what the missus got for dinner down at Tescos while actual punches are finding their target. Get rid. Jim Watt? Never used to like him, but don't think he's that bad these days. However, as mentioned, he does need to stop taking into account what the judges are thinking and just call a round how he actually sees it.
Rawling also doesn't seem to know how to score a fight imo. If its close, you guarantee Rawling has it wider, if its not close, you can bet he's get it close.
Barry obviously loves the sport of boxing and is very excitable and knowledgable about it. But as has been mentioned a few times he is unquestionably a bully who makes people feel uncomfortable and has to have the last word. So it was great to watch when Hamed looked down the camera lens and said he would stand McGuigan on his head.
Hamed needs to be kept away from tv, he **** he spouts like 'Brook will ko Pac-cow and pac-cow knows it' and 'dont put khan in a war like the fight with maidana again, he aint built for that'. Silly fat ****...
