Yep, Degale and Groves are both world class operators. Throw in Froch and who needs the rest of the SMW division... :-(

I`m looking at styles and strengths, forget past opponents they dont always matter due to styles. Going on styles and Strengths Degale is way ahead of Pavlik.

Pavlik enters a fight to hurt his opponent. He is first and foremost a fighter. His fundamentals are almost always overlooked. Someone posted a pic of Kelly against his last opponent where he is doing the palm out punch block right up against his head. Most people don't notice things like that and think these are scoring shots. He has honed his style like this so he can be at his preferred range to launch his offense. This is simply his adaption to not having the greatest of speed. Way more happening during the fight than people see. Way to many are swayed by the commentators trying to make EVERY fight sound like "fight of the century". That's their job.

Mark Twain: It is difference of opinion that makes horse races. From Puddin' Head Wilson. Strangely enough I found some attributing this to Will Rogers. I'm pretty sure Twain beat him to it.

Be that as it may, you do seem to have those UK googles on.

Dunno why your making this into a UK vs USA thing, prime Pavlik would murder Degale, noones disputing that. At this stage though Degale outpoints KP as does George Groves

I watched the Pavlik/Lopez fight several times, and I have no idea where people get this "shot to ****" nonsense. What I see on ESB is a long list of posters criticizing KP's performance, but I have not seen one single person talk about Lopez's mistakes.

What, exactly, did Alfonso Lopez do wrong that should have made him so easy to beat? The entire fight is available on line from several sources. Go ahead and post some video, and point out in detail what Lopez did wrong, and when he did it. The man was an undefeated light heavyweight in his prime for ****s sake, and Pavlik walked all over his ass en-route to a 98-92 victory, so either put up or shut up!

As far as deGale goes, get ****ing real people! The first thing Carl Dilks did, in the first 15 seconds of the fight, was hit deGale square on the chin with a perfect 1-2. If Dilks had real power, he would have ended the fight right then and there. Well guess what! Kelly Pavlik has real power! Stop the insanity!

Hating on a fighter is understandable, but this **** is totally out of control. It's at the point where ordinarily good posters are making themselves look like complete idiots.

Pavlik should do it if the money's good. He'll have a better chance than he would against Bute.

DeGale hasnt got it in him to go to war. He's got no heart. I think he suffers from the Audley Harrison disease. He looked the part enough to get the job done in the amateur game but does he really want to be a fighter? I just dont think he likes getting punched in the face all that much.

:thumbsup People who say Pavlik is shot are instantly discredited in my eyes. Did he look rusty again Lopez? Absolutely, but the past 2-3 years have been hell for Pavlik and that's to be expected. Lopez did everything he could to mimmick BHops attack and he still got soundly beat. Ignore the horrible commentary in that match and it becomes obvious. DeGale lost to Groves, ffs, and doesn't have that many pro rounds under his belt. Not only are these idiots completely underrating Kelly they're absolutely overrating DeGale. Pavlik isn't some undersized fighter at 168, he'd be a good size at 175 really. Pavlik has the power and the boxing skill (and yes, Pavlik is a highly skilled boxer) to dismantle that loudmouthed ****

i'm not a degale fan but styles make fights and pavlik would get mauled by degale, he would be a sitting duck and would be walking on to combinations all night.

****** was on the radio about half 9 and all he mentioned was degale coming back in september, nothing about an opponent so i think its far from being a done deal.
