only the brits seem to think its some huge robbery, a draw or close score either way is fine in a close fight like this, you want a huge robbery watch campillo vs shumenov 2, or extreme scorecards: martinez williams 1, 110-118- geale vs sylvester 112-118 etc. this was a close fight even devon vs kotelnik was more unfair than this fight, and I dislike sturm.

They should investigate those judges after that shambolic decision
Curruption it seems is unfortunately still very much alive and well in boxing

What a load of ****. Less people on the British forum consider it a robbery than on the general forum.

i thought sturm edged it by a point but i didnt watch it with a lot of interest and i didnt pick up the fight until the 4th rd. if macklin won the first few then i guess he deserved the win.

Yeah well Andre Ward, Sergio Martinez and Lou Dibella have also said on Twitter that Macklin was robbed.

Macklin isn't British he's Irish. I've been put off the Irish since the way they handled themselves in the Khan McCloskey debacle, but that was a robbery.

I had the commentary off the whole fight, and had Macklin winning by at least 4 rounds. Sturm was exposed as another euro hype job in my opinion.

I'm American, scored it wider for Macklin than just about anyone, and am very vocal about what a robbery this was

Macklin worked so hard. I feel bad for Macklin, he really showed the will and drive of a champion. Sturm was very lucky to get away with the decision IMO.

    Great stuff by Macklin.

I had it for Macklin too but am not too bothered by the decision. I could easily see how others could have it for Sturn.

Im not saying im correct in scoring it for sturm, I would have to see it again to make sure but it wasnt a robbery to me, if macklin won 115-113 that would be fair to me as well, a rematch should happen, and sursprisingly it turned out to be a good fight.
    what was your scorecard?

You go into another guy's hometown and in certain situations home country ANYWHERE in the world u better make an undeniable impression with a knockdown, KO, or outbox the daylights out of him

Sturm had the same happen to him versus DLH. Just how boxing works.

I seriously doubt that any germans involved in tonights promotion were actually working at Auschwitz or Belsen or indeed were on first name terms with Der Fuhrer .
