So a pressure fighter with power does a number on Sturm?

    Or not?

Macklin put it on Sturm but just doesn't hit hard enough to dent him. We saw that Sturm did not much like the pressure he was put under. Who out there can keep up a Macklinesque work rate and has good pop and a chin?

Or rather would it be the more controlled fighter that will stand off and trade jabs with Sturm? hasn't looked such a good idea in previous fights against the German.

Martinez certainly has the power and skills but does get hit, does he have the style to dissect Sturm by getting through his guard boxing from the outside?

Regardless of styles, Martinez is just on a different planet.

Mackins jab was landing through the middle of Sturms guard quite regulary, you'd have to think Martinez would find room for a straight left to follow it.

Martinez beats Sturm like a government mule.

Macklin's problem is that he's naturally a wide puncher. Martinez is very precise and piercing through the middle. As said before - different planet.

Martinez has no problems with Sturm.Macklin should have walked out of there with the title last night.Ive nothing against Mackilin but he is nowhere near as good as Martinez and certainly dont hit as hard.Martinez will be loving the idea of a Sturm fight after watching how Macklin dealt with him.

Martinez would **** Sturm. Not pretty and totally one sided. I love Macklin but I know he's limited and he still did enough, IMO and without opening the debate again, to win the fight handily. What someone as far ahead of the pack as Martinez would do to him isn't worth thinking about.

Thought Macklin should of kept that jab up. That was really opening up Sturm for his combinations. After about the 5th or 6th the jab just died off. Sturm started getting his own jab going though and thats not someone you want to get in a jabbing match with
