out of interest - how did you score the macklin fight

i thought it was a draw 114-114

had macklin 6-3 up after nine but the german swept the last 3 rounds

 

I had it a draw. sturm closed the gap.

 

115-114 Sturm

 

115-113 Macklin and I thought that was being more than fair to Sturm.

You've also got to remember that Macklin knew he had to do so much more to win any rounds so it's easy to see why he tired late on. Sturm did mostly **** all for the first 6 rounds because he knew he'd get the nod anyway :-(

 

116-115 to Sturm

 

I didnt see the 1st 3 rounds, but after that there were 2 possibly 3 close rounds that could have gone either way, although I mostly liked Sturms quality over Macklins quantity, and a few rounds that were clearly Sturm.

Sturm winning by 2 probably for me.

 

I scored it 115-113 for Sturm. Sturm upped his game in the latter stage of the fight and I thought he was catching Macklin with the cleaner work.
Very close though, could have gone either way

 

i personally thought, macklin by a point, but if that was not to be then a darw at the very least.

Mack said after the fight that German TV had it 116-112 to Macklin? Interesting that. I wonder what they actually think of someone like Felix Sturm in Germany. Surely they can't actually be proud of that?

He finished very strong, landed the better, cleaner punches.

Props to Macklin he put in a great shift but he probably knew he'd have to blast Sturm out of there as he was never going to get a decision in Germany.

I had Macklin up by a point but would have been happy with Sturm winning by 1 as well during thopse close rounds. No way should it have been as wide as it was.

 

I personally had Macklin by 2 points though because of Sturms late rally I could have accepted him edging it but 116-112 was disgraceful and totally disrespectful to Macklin.
