I thought Sturm took it just. Very close fight but I preferred the quality shots of Sturm. Very hard to out work Sturm in Germany I though Gevor done a better job than Macklin and he got the same result. Great performance by Mack though proved me wrong and hopefully he can get another shot soon.

i just watched it now.... i had it 7 rounds to 5 to macklin imo. i was very suprised at sturm's inability to control the fight and really impressed with macklins relentlessness. great fight....i dont think sturm getting the nod is a robbery but i the two scorecards were a round too wide for my liking.

Macklin deserved the nod for me, but it was a close fight. Sturm at times was outgunned by a fired up Mackilin who visibly shook the champion at times. Sturm did some classy work, just not enough of it to keep Macklin off. It's a shame as this could have been the making of another British World title holder. Hopefully, he can engineer a rematch.

I had macklin 2 rounds ahead as someone has already said macklin was not going to win this in Germany judges are way too biased For me mqckin was the qgressor thre more punches that to me is a winner

Are you still drunk from yesterdays night? :D

But you are right Sturm threw less punches and was hit more often.

I apologise sincerely for calling Macklin a no-hoper. He's a lot better than I gave him credit for.

I hope he wins a title one day.

If it's that simplistic for you I'm glad you're not a judge - and I had Macklin winning myself - albeit just.

Great performance by Macklin, he showed that he belongs at world level and should have been awarded the decision by two rounds imo. Hopefully he got the exposure he needed and gets big fights from now on.

Yeah they said something about November. Can't see Sturm's team wanting to give him a rematch though unless they either want to rob Macklin again or just don't like Sturm any more.
