Pretty obvious from tonight's performance Sturm is another euro level fighter who doesn't belong in the same ring with another genuine world class fighter. To even think Sturm belongs in the same company as Hopkins is ridiculous to the point of being surreal.

Bailey I am sure will justify his opinion with a Matthew Macklin under rated ATG thread

If Sturm beats a prime Hopkins in a close decision, imagine what the former Irish Middleweight champion Matthew Macklin would do.

I think it might be a close fight....... If a prime felix sturm fought a Bernard Hopkins in his 70s. But it would go to Hopkins by ktfo

Sturm is a bum compared to ATG Popkins.

I give credit for Strum for lasting and being decent, better than I thought he would be.

Still a fantastic thread and it took you until Sturm had a tough fight with Macklin to bring up this post. Still Macklin is a more accomplished MW than Echoles who Hopkins struggled with twice

No Brighton bummer, Macklin hasnt ******ted an ATG thread yet, but Macklin is a more accomplished MW than Echoles who gave Hopkins problems.
Remember Hopkins tends to struggle with fast 2 handed boxers his own size and like it or not, im sure if Taylor could beat Hopkins than I think Sturm could have possibly done it also

Echols II is probably the most complete, dominant and all-round impressive performance of Hopkins's mw reign, after Trinidad!!!

Troll has just been exposed as very obviously never having seen that fight!!!!!

I give Sturm credit for consistency and longevity

But in all seriousness Sturm is not on Bernards level, Hopkins has too many tricks in the book, followed with a sharp right hand and a greater ring IQ

    It wouldnt even be close

Yeah looked a walk in the park as Hopkins lay on the mat play acting

Scores dont always tell the story of a fight. Even you should know that, look at the scorecards of Ottke - Reid or in Eubank - Rocchigiani how Eubank was only just ahead on 2 cards and almost a shut out on another.
Opened yourself up again there .
So with what you say in mind, then Calzaghe must have been a clear victor over Hopkins with what you say about scoring, as if you go on Google and look up A Byrd you can see what people think of her scoring record, and the other 2 judges had Calzaghe up by 3 and 5 points respectively and agreed on 9 of the rounds. Yeah and Hopkins did some play acting in that fight also :patsch

If someone is 89-78 up on all 3 cards, meaning a cumulative points difference of THIRTY-THREE POINTS after only 9 completed rounds, the points total certainly does tell the story of the fight - a story of complete and utter domination!!!!!!!!!

You have not seen this fight, yet you commented on it - EXPOSED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
