A lot of people here criticize Pac for not taking a "young fighter" and instead "cherry picking" an old Marquez. I can see the logic of this, and Mayweather does deserve credit for picking the number 2 welter (although it would have been a lot more impressive if he answered Martinez's call-out). That said, which "young gun" do you guys think Pac should have challenged? Ortiz? My gut tells me that the promoters wouldn't let that one happen. So who else?
taking on a young gun: "Pac cherrypicks un-experienced boxers" taking on a veteran: "pac is cherrypicking battleworn old boxers" you cant please anyone
He'll fight Ortiz next They always go for Floyd leftovers because they have the blueprint to beat him, he'll be damaged goods so easier to beat plus his name will be more marketable because mayweather fights are always huge events!!
He might, like you say. And GBP might be willing to let it happen if Ortiz gets beat badly enough in September. But this isn't really my question, which is which "young gun" do you guys think he should fight instead.
nobody pac and mayweather fights are now irrelevant until they fight each other... they are miles ahead of the competition and will both easily win their next fights
its awlays like this, pac needs to fight abigger guy, fight a black fighter, fight marquez, fight a young fighter. its basically they want floyd they dont care about any other boxer he faces, kind of sad.
I can only think of Bradley although I know that Pac will just KO him and I believe that JMM gives Pac more trouble.
fight a young fighter then what? fight god? the only relevant fights left for pacquiao are mayweather and marquez, other than that are just money fights. haters are haters and critics are... well they do it to put food in their table. pacquiao can defeat godzilla and some people will still find something to talk about.
i feel marquez may not be as effective as he once was against pac but iv been praying for this fight since number 2
