What...and the fact Lewis never took a backwards step and threw almost every shot with the intention of knocking Vitali out, had nothing to do with the damage he sustained. I think you forget it was Lewis who caused the cuts.
Lewis had no legs under him until the 3rd, a sign of age. Once he did, it became a different fight.
When he was skinnier and weaker you say!? Just a ridiculous statement in so many ways.
Anyone who as a clue on boxing knows that Lennox looked like a pale imposter of himself that night. Vitali had a great chance to take the baton from the champ, but just wasn't good enough. Even against this inferior imposter.

Who's being a smart arse? You were wrong, it's not a big deal. You can't up someone for having their facts wrong if you're wrong yourself!

Lewis was past it and he knew it.

He beat Vitali fair and square so why be put under pressure for a renatch when your heart isn't in it?

Is he supposed to get back into the ring when he knows he's not at his best just because Vitali couldn't finish the job first time round?

    Don't be an idiot.

Yeah like i said my mistake. When you shot a  in about a comment that's not aimed at you, that comes across to me as being a smart arse.
But anyway, my point about the Bruno and Vit fights still stands, Lewis getting the win while it was going all his own way in the fight or on the cards.

Would have been a good fight and I think Vitali would have won. I don't really think Lewis is as good of rematch fighter as some people think either. Mccall and Rahman he really never should of lost against, beating them in rematches does not mean that much to me. Plus Mccall in his rematch was in no condition to be in a boxing ring. And Holyfield actually did a lot better in the rematch then he did in the first fight.

Lennox did not seem to think he was past his prime in the pre fight interviews when he totally dis missed Vitali as a "robot".... truth is he over looked VK and paid for it ....cut was bad luck for VK and fortunate for LL.....
Lennox robbed all boxing fans by not living up to his word and giving VK a re-match. Lets get serious...do you really think if Lennox thought he could win so easily he would not have made the fight?? He did'nt and he Did'nt....

He couldn't beat an out of shape lennox. The difference was power. Lennox knew Vitali couldn't hurt him. Lennox couldn't hurt Vitali either, but he damn near ripped Vitalis face apart.

Vitali would have won the re-match no doubt... He is a much better fighter than people give him credit, every fight he has been in he has looked the better fighter!

Wlad was actually ranked number 1 by Ring for part of Lewis' spell.
