Which was the better win: LEWIS vs Tyson or CALZAGHE vs Hopkins?

I think it's an interesting question. Which win means more? I think they both look very good on each other's record and although there's slight debate about Calzaghe's win, Tyson was obviously a faded version of his former self.

Has to be Lewis V Tyson, due to the fact that it was an actual "win."

    Calzaghe - Hopkins.

    Tyson was way past it.
People can debate Hopkins peak but what can't be denied is the fact Hopkins was still a great fighter and Joe pulled the win out away from home at a new weight.

Its a good question. On paper Hopkins easily as he wasn't shot like Tyson was. However Hopkins/JC was desperately close and Tyson lost every round before being ko'ed.
I'd have to go with Calzaghe/Hopkins.

There's nothing interesting about the question, it's a no brainer. Look at what Hopkins has done since that defeat.

What has Tyson done since the Lewis defeat?

In that case, what about Calzaghe-Jones vs Lewis-Tyson?

Before they agreed to fight, Calzaghe stated in his book that Jones was way past it...

Before they agreed to fight, Lewis said in an interview that Tyson looked past it...

Respected broadcaster Max Kellerman (in his interview after Calzaghe-RJJ) stated as much saying "Joe, you now have Roy Jones name on your record much like Lennox Lewis got Mike Tyson on his...."

Lewis vs Tyson was a more satisfying fight to watch for me.

However, Hopkins was still on excellent form even at that age and JC got a legit win. Hopkin's acheivements after just go to prove that and lets not forget it was also JC's first outing at Light Heavy.

Calzage vs Hopkins as far as being the best win.

That's a far more valid question, but again I would have to pick Calzaghe.

What are your reasons for your pick?

I'd say probably Lewis vs Tyson, but it's a bit like asking what shade of pink flip flops is it more credible for a man to wear.

Can't understand how someone could say Lewis over Tyson was the better win.

    Tyson was shot to bits.

Calzaghe over Hopkins. Not even close.

Roy Jones was shot when he fought Calzaghe no doubt about that, but he wasn't as far from his prime as Tyson was.
