Stiverne is now Vitali's mandatory for the WBC world championship

Serious question. Did comeback Vitali's match-ups with Adamek, Solis, Arreola, Peter and Juan Carlos Gomez not even have you vaguely interested?

Plus, out of 10 how would you rate each of these opponents?

 

won´t happen anyway.. the Adamek fight is sanctioned as a mandatory defense and the Solis fight was a mandatory defense as well... Vitali will retire anyway before the WBC orders that fight
I wont believe that fight was sanctioned as a final eliminator anyway until someone from the WBC confirms it

 

I don't get the feeling that Vitaly is retiring anytime soon. When asked most recently he said he wasn;t ready to talk about it.

 

Adamek, Solis and Arreola did, yes.

Then we found out that Arreola really was a fat sack of **** and Solis was happy to fall over his own shoelaces. I've never rated Peter or Gomez.

Adamek may be the best Vitali has faced for a long while but I still don't think he has much of a chance. Too small to make a dent in such a big man and not enough power at heavyweight.

Arreola - 5/10
Solis - 5/10
Gomez - 5/10
Peter - 5/10

Same old, same old. Vitali just hasn't beaten anyone that good.

 

Question, how do you rate Valuev, Ruiz and Harrison?

 

You seem to have very, very high standards. I'm curious again now. How do you,an English type, rate David Haye out of 10 right now prior to him fighting the other Klitschko?

That's the ams. Helenius has maybe the WORST suited style of all time for the amateurs. His game fits much better in pro boxing.

IMO.

 

The only reason I'd hesitate to confidently pick Sosnowski is because his chin is nearly as bad as Austin's.

Should have been WAY ahead. Before the knockout, Stiverne had clearly lost all but one round. For me it was 88-82 Austin heading into the 10th.

(Austin had a bogus point deducted for ramming Stiverne with his shoulder as they stared each other down and crossed paths to their corners after a bell. It was no worse than happens on crowded city subways every rush hour. :-()

Two judges had Austin in front by two points, and the third had it a draw. So yeah, Stiverne needed to sweep the last three rounds to win...or do what he did, and score the knockout.

 

I would say the Most unimpressive HW going is Chisora, but in fairness I'm only singling him out because for some strange reason Boxrec has that chump as the World's 9th best heavy.

At best Chisora is just outside the top 50.

 

I do. The heavyweight division has seen the likes of Ali, Foreman, Frazier, Lewis, Tyson, Dempsey, Louis, Johnson etc over the years.

They're the yardstick to judge other heavyweights by. They set the bar for the fighters that would come after.

Haye - 8/10

IMO he has the tools to beat Wlad but so far hasn't shown exceptional quality in his heavyweight career. The result of this coming fight will really cement his rating. If he beats Wlad he will really go up a notch.

However, if Wlad beats Haye, you could really build a case for Haye not actually being that great based on his heavyweight record.

 

Just not good? He has some nice boxing skills and was completely schooling this padded-record joke before his shitty punch resistance failed him yet again.

If Austin is just not good, then Stiverne is TERRIBLE.
