This man has been calling himself the savior of the HW division for years now. And yet, he's still talking about retiring on Oct.31 even in the midst of this fight's promotion and "may never fight Vitaly".. so how, in the name of god is this good for the division when the man who is just crowned as HW champion decides to retire immediately after his fight?

It really does amuse me when SkySports and some of the Haye fans continue to believe Haye is here to do good for HW boxing. He's repeatedly said he's retiring after this fight, and yet this means he's here to save the division?

 I'm sure at some point you're going to expound upon why having a 10-year gap in the Heavyweight division as far as legitimacy is concerned is going to help the sport and the heavyweight division? If, as you theorize, the current HW landscape is a joke, and the guy who exposes it as a joke retires, then clearly we have a dilemma, no?

Haye doesn't give a rat's ass about boxing, he's worse than Mayweather with his lack of passion for the sport. Haye wants to clean up financially, secure his retirement and quit asap. Legacy is not his main goal.

Haye's #1 concern is getting out early while his head is still intact. He knows that sooner rather than later he'd get beaten until his brain resembles mashed potatoes if he continued at HW for another 4-5 years.

    History of the Heavyweight Champions:

Bob Fitzsimmons > GAP > Lennox Lewis > GAP > David Haye

    It's irrefutable.

I'm not Haye fan. However, if he wins, I guarentee you he won't retire. In that case, him winning would be good for the sport. It would create another star at HW, and it would create more interest in the sport's most glamorous division.
