Has Wladimir fought someone of the speed of haye before?

Well if we talk about over all speed I dont think Wlad has fought as fast As Haye is.

But I dont think his Pure hand speed is far superior than some guys Wlad fought.

But the speed Haye takes step and Throws his counter Right is what Wlad has not seen I think..

 

did they have the speed + power that Haye carries??

 

Haye's footspeed is overrated. His footspeed means nothing if he can't move his feet correctly which he can't, his footwork is crap. Wladimir is also the much better boxer-type so it's not like Haye will be comfortable boxing circles around Wlad.

ummm i think fast eddie chambers can match the speed haye. he might not have the power or explosiveness of haye but he can surely match his speed. so i think the answer is yes, wald has fought atleast one guy as fat has haye. just didn't have the power to bother waldmir i think.

 

i personaly think wlad has fought guys faster than haye and fought guys more powerful than haye but not some1 with the same mixture of both..but like ive said before.if you gave the fast guys the power when they fought wlad it still wudnt have helped them as they cudnt hit him

 

Wladimir has fought Byrd who was not only quick but had very good technique stemming from an extensive amateur background. He has also fought Chambers who was fast as well as fat though he didn't have the power that Haye looks to have. I'd also be careful with overrating Haye's speed as he has only fought over the hill guys at HW who were also slow to begin with. Haye's fast, make no mistake, but I'm not sure he will have that big an advantage in speed as many think. Wladimir is deceptively fast himself and more importantly, he knows how to cut the ring off (unlike e.g. Valuev) and how to methodically sap the speed and confidence of his opponent. Bottom line, I think Haye only has a puncher's chance in this one but he does have that.

He appears slow because he's stationary and pawing most of the times but he's very quick especially for a bigger man. Wlad has great footwork and arguably the best in his division between him and Vitali.

 

Agree with this. Haye is a bit sloppy at times while Wladimir has the tightest defence in the division. WK controls the distance to his opponents very well, is almost always on balance and dodges hail mary blows with good speed and agility.

Peter was not in terrible shape, lol. He was around 240, which is very good shape for his build.
