Yeh you`re right,he might just mean the pads, but it would not surprise me if they were telling porkies to press about the build up.

Haye will have stopped sparing when he said he did. Stopping a couple of weeks out is standard TBH.

The Sky news guy(Cant think of his name but you know the one who always talks with his hands:yep)was a little surprised and he said that ususally Haye spars up until around 8-9 days before the fight I believe?
Wlad finished sparring two days ago against Steve Cunningham but Haye obviously thinks hes ready.

I think Haye and Booth are being extra careful they dont pick up a injury or cut - so near to the fight.

So they have wound down sparring early.

I can't see Haye losing this fight. Wlad is very good but to a large extent he is a one trick pony (although I admit it's a good trick, perfectly practised and executed) and this makes him predictable. If you know your opponents technique and strategy, even if they're tried and tested, it gives you a huge advantage. In short, Booth knows more or less how Wlad will fight and Hayemaker will have spent months if not years working out and perfecting a strategy to overcome Wlad's style. In contrast, Wlad will not have been able to practise against anyone who can replicate David Haye's attributes and he won't know how Haye will approach the fight. In my opinion speed and athleticism are the attributes needed to overcome Wlad and Haye possesses these in abundance.

One observation from the fight vs John Ruiz - when Haye had Ruiz in trouble in the 1st round and Ruiz attempted to hold, Haye broke free, attempted a body shot and then landed a punch to the temple which seemed to hurt Ruiz and forced him to release Haye. I'm thinking that dealing with holding is something Haye has practised many times with Wlad in mind. On this subject I think the refereeing could be very important, since holding is such an important part of Wlads technique. If the ref is strict on this (lets face it this is illegal practice) it could cause Wlad some serious problems in a similar manner to Hatton being disadvantaged by Cortez when he fought Mayweather.

Oh yeah, my prediction for what it's worth - Haye KO between rounds 4 and 7 although I wouldn't be completely shocked if Haye blows Wlad away in the 1st round before Wlad gets used to Haye's speed.
