It was said that whatever the outcome they were gonna have a rematch at 122...

I still think it should happen a little bit later...

Montiel should become a champ at 122...
Donaire should clean 118 like MONTIEL cleaned it up.

The Meet at 122 when donaire moves up...

One was bound to GET KTFO when 2 guys in their prime which are the best of the best meet up... Leading up to the fight it was said one punch could chance the outcome and it did.... It doesn't take anyway away from them. I'm happy to prime guys met up and gave the fans a fight... I hope for another...

    This make sense.
Im really looking forward to seeing it.
Montiel picking up a title would be something and Donaire cleaning up the division would be as great.
I really hope they meet again in a year or two from now.

    Montiel is the man.

He didn't sulk or feel sorry for himself after his devastating loss. Went right back to the drawing board.

Meanwhile Nonito still in career limbo and has NO scheduled fight. THnx Rachel!!

Montiel has absolutely no chance to beat Donaire at any weight. None whatsoever.

At least he has the balls to take it on... he ain't no scared ***** and always challenges himself to the fullest.

That's how champs are made by taking on the best getting defeated and coming back stronger...

I'm glad he is looking for the rematch like a real man and you never know what the next match can bring, both have power and it was said one punch changes everything... never know what happens at 122 and if a trilogy is born every great fighter has a great rival.

@ 122, there will be a much bigger and wider Donaire, I dont think its a good match up. Besides Montiel is not a proven 122 yet.

I don't want to see a rematch, just like I wouldn't want to see a darchinyan rematch, it wasn't close and it ended early, what more do you need to see. If it was a decision, well then you can make a case for it but not an early ko, just like I wouldnt' want to see Martinez fight Williams again.

What the F is the hold-up w/Donaire's contract situation?
& For the record I'd like to see this fight again.

First fight was the perfect blow followed with great finishing by Nonito.
You got to admire Fernando's "sack" tho..

rematches are for close fights. A rematch might damage montiel for life.
