If BHop beats Dawson in October, it will probably be him.

emmmanuel - Made a disgraceful match against a shot fighter who was previously dominated by emmanuel's rival and looked lost in the following fight. Couldn't even figure out how to fire at an old moving target. This isn't a great representation of boxing, and makes our sport look stupid if a highly ranked fighter gets awarded for his silly recent outing.

Sergio Martinez - His year was 2010 when he whooped Pavlik's AZZ and became the first man to stop the "feared" Tall Paul.

Bernard Hopkins - set a new record in a very historic sport.

Yeah but the year isnt over, if ortiz beats floyd he is the fighter of the year i think, 2 wins as a huge underdog, we also have guys like donaire, hopkins, haye, khan, froch all candidates, hopefully the second part of this year will be as good as the first and we have a good winner.

Bernard has the best story out of all these guys. He's an old man who was "robbed" against the younger champ in the champ's city. Grandpa demands a rematch and comes back to school that kid in his own city.

:D this isn't for the actual fighter of the year. This is just for the ESPY's. Voting ends in 37 days

I'll be honest with you, I think they should have gave Sexy Sergio the award for 2010. What Grandpa already did in 2011 tops anything Jr and emmanuel can do!

Well sergio martinez won the real fighter of the year award last year, everyone agrees that was fully deserves. and yeah pac is definitely not winning this year with old mosley and marquez at 144, mayweather beating ortiz is a decent win in my opinion but not fighter of the year stuff.
If bhop beats dawson as well he is one of the front runners of getting the award for sure.

What do I think? I think the ESPY's are totally meaningless to the sport of boxing. That's what I think. **** them and their award show.
