out of interest - how did you score the macklin fight

    To be fair Sturm did go to America and get robbed against De La Hoya

    They gave Sturm an extra round that you gave Macklin and seeing as there was a lot of close rds I dont see it as a disgrace especially when you had it 115-113 Sturm.
    The people who had Macklin winning by two or three will feel its a disgrace though.

    After watching the fight again with the volume down i score it 116-114 to Macklin

    Absolutely gutted for Macklin, what a great performance, done himself no harm though and proved all the doubters in his ability wrong

    Had him up by 2, anywhere other than germany and he would have been bringing home the belt.

    This needs a rematch

    close fight but not a robbery,sturm won by a couple off rounds,better work came from him .think thats the best we are gonna see from macklin but sturm there's more to come sturm was very accurate.

    I had it a draw, but can't complain about Sturm getting the decision. I think Macklin did really well, but once Sturm got into the fight he was just going to look better and better. By the last round Macklin was exhausted and looked like he was just about finished.

    Macklin isn't going to look back and think he threw his chance away..

    In my opinion, if it wasnt a draw Macklin nicked it, Sturm wasnt busy enough throughout the fight even in the latter rounds.

    Just lets us know what Haye now has to do to beat Klitchko, Haye can only win by knockout or stoppage.

    I just re-watched round 3 there, and I have to say there is no way you can give that to Sturm. Macklin was getting through with a lot of shots early in the round and definitely scoring with body shots, ok Sturm hit him with 2 -3 clean head shots later in the round but Macklin came back at him and hit him with clean shots too. I'm including the left hook that they both landed at the same time in this too..Macklin held the centre of the ring for most of that round, was the more aggressive, landed to the body frequently and at times to the head and because Sturm throws 3 combinations and lands 2 or 3 decent shots he all of a sudden is given the round??

    Get real,no way in hell Sturm won that fight.There was one judge scoring it fairly.You need to win a fight clearly before you get a split dec. in Germany.Everyone knows what its like over there.

    Was close, I had it by one on the night, but after watching back think sturm won by 2 rounds.

    Made him miss, more power, more accuracy.

    Probably landed more with better % in that round.
