that's the way I see it. The rounds were pretty clear except one which I gave to alexander bc he made matthyse miss and countered a little bit. Nothing landed clean that round. You cannot possibly give him 6 rounds in that fight is why it's a robbery. Just bc he won 4 and he had a mini comeback in the 9th don't mean "it could go either way".. Nah, it couldn't. The winner was clear and Matthyse should of went for the homerun in the 8th when alexander was reeling around the ring hurt by body shots hunched over.

 

Exactly. The media is apathetic and as long as they are it will continue.People and the media are to fatalistic about it. They just shrug their shoulders and say "Thats boxing."

Totally right which is why I would tend to favor more official judges scoring the bouts. The more there are, the more obvious and embarrassing it would be to score a fight otherwise than what was evident for the eyes to see.

There may be more outcry if lets for instance say 5 or 6 out of 7 judges, are completely off track with their scores, therefore make it definitely seem like they were paid to do so...

Intriguing since, GBP is a bigger player these days and they promote Matthysse. But maybe King is a little more "old school".

That was a robbery. Not a HUGE robbery, or a BLATANT robbery, or one of the worst I've ever seen, but the guy who lost the fight got the W and that, my brothers, is a robbery.

Is there anyone here besides that one ******ed guy who can say Matthysse didn't win rounds 4, 7, 8, and 10? Bare minimum, giving Alexander every benefit of the doubt possible, that's a draw. And I'm of the opinion that rounds 5 and 9 were the only ones Alexander clearly won. That leaves rounds 1,2,3, and 6 as swing rounds. I'll rewatch it before deciding for sure, but I seem to recall giving Matthysse two of those.

Fact is there is no way that Devon Alexander won 6 rounds that night, and there's more than a few ways Matthysse could have. The Missouri judge was the only one who got it right!

1. That's some bull ****. In the 10 point system you must choose a winner and loser of the round. No ties. Wonder how he got by with that bull ****??

 

Buddy, although it doesn't happen often, judges sometimes do call even rounds 10-10.

In a 10 point must system, it sure isn't encouraged but still is allowed. I don't have any other example right now, but I do recall seeing it on a few occasions in the past.

All the 10-point must system means is that the winner of the round has to receive ten points. There can be two winners. It's weird, but hey, some rounds are even. That's life.
