Let's match these 70's guys up,hypothetically when they were at their best during the decade.

    Frazier 1971
    Foreman 1974
    Ali 1974
    Norton 1976
    Young 1977
    Holmes 1979

In a league situation, who comes out on top ?
    Okay,Ali-Foreman's a shoo-in,because they actually fought in '74.

I'll always believe that a well trained, and focused Ali of 1973/74 would pip Holmes.

I agree with kmac and think Holmes would prevail.

At the moment it seems that Holmes is leading the pack (I disagree :D) Who's the consensus for runner up ?

Ali was always better in his fights than in training, 73-75 Ali would beat Holmes. It would be a good fight, but Ali still had his magic at that time.

I couldn't look past Ali personally, with a scrap between Foreman and Holmes for second. Frazier of 71' was ****ing animal though.
