Wlad V Haye looking at there past Opponents.

Haye has a chance ,but I think Wlad will take UD.

 

Haye has a very weak resume for such a high profile fighter. If you forget the belts he got and merely look at the opposition then there are only 2 real good wins and those are Fragomeni TKO9 and Mormeck TKO7, and both wins came with some trouble.

He also has only 26 fights in 9 years time, and no less than 13 of these opponents were actually bums... Yet he was decked 5 times already. Haye even has slightly more percentual downtime as Wlad, and with significantly weaker opposition.
So we're looking at 13 meaningful fights, over a 9 year career with only 2 really good opponents (36/35) from wich one was on the slide already.

The most interesting in those fights, against a lot of weak chinned opposition is that it's clear that he can't produce a 1 punch knockout. (And don't come here with a Hurov/Gurov vid, because that guy stays down even after a glancing Malignaggi jab). Wich many people say is his biggest chance against Wlad.

Mere looking at the numbers Haye doesn't have a snowball's chance in hell to pull of the upset, but that's not true of course.
He certainly has a chance to TKO (not KO) Wlad in the early stages of the fight if Wlad would panic again after being hit. The longer the fight lasts, the slimmer his chances get.
Outpointing Wlad, not in his wildest dreams if the fight was in his backyard with his mother as the referee and his uncles/aunts scoring the fight.

 

looking at wlads most recent fights im saying this fight is 50/50
but id agree it has to play out in haye's favour early

 

I'll be the first to admit, Haye's heavyweight record isn't great.

But lets not pretend Wlad's record is loads better. He's beaten no better calibre of fighter than Haye.

I don't understand the logic of 'oh this person has fought younger better opponents so that means they are gonna win'!! it aint about who either of them fought in the past that dont tell u ****... It would only be relevant if these over the hill guys actually beat Haye!!

 

Not only were they younger and stronger, most of them were dominated. While Haye had trouble in all of his bigger fights.
And that's one of the main reasons a lot of boxfans have doubts about Haye... He hasn't fought any of the stronger fighters in the division, so they can't beat him!

Of course that's not a certain science in boxing (just look at the Ali/Frazier/Foreman triangle) but it certainly is a strong indicator.

 

You shouldn't embarrass yourself like this. On this one I'm going to give you the benefit of the doubt and assume you were drunk while posting the above.

 

Yeah i always think this too.

It has some bearing but not much. It just means maybe they have not been tested to their highest level, but does not mean that they cant hang with someone at a higher level.

 

Give it a second thought. Eddie Chambers came off a win over previously undefeated Dimitrenko. Chagaev came off a win over previously undefeated Vuluev. Samuel Peter came off several good looking knock out wins.

And all those three guys where young.

I'd say Wlad has faced a fair share of young and hungry opponents that where on a winning strike before they faced him.
